Summer Camps 2025 have ended

For Summer 2025, we hosted 6 camps: Beach Party, Jungle Adventure, Foodalicious, Fiesta!, Out at Sea, & Abstract and Printmaking

Our summer camps are designed to go beyond single-day projects, giving students the opportunity to work on larger, multi-step creations throughout the week. We explore a variety of mediums including clay sculpture, mixed-media art, fiber arts, painting, drawing, printmaking, and building with upcycled and natural materials. This range allows children to expand their skills, discover new techniques, and experience the joy of creative problem-solving.
In addition to the art-making, camp days are filled with collaboration, storytelling, and playful exploration. Students gain confidence as they share ideas, experiment with new tools, and showcase their finished projects at the end of each session. Each week has its own rhythm, and every camp culminates in a mini art show where families can see the incredible creativity that unfolded.
We can’t wait to continue this tradition in the coming year! Our Summer 2026 Art Camp Schedule will be announced in January, and we’re already dreaming up fresh themes and exciting projects to inspire the next group of young artists.
Daily Schedule
9:30 - 9:45 am: Check-in and drop off
9:45 - 11:00 am: First artmaking session
11:00 - 11:15 am: Snack break in the garden
11:15 - 12:30 pm: Second artmaking session
12:30 - 1:00 pm: Lunch in the garden
1:00 - 2:00 pm: Third artmaking session
2:00 pm: Pick up time!

Summer art camps are held in our outdoors studio, a magical garden space. We spend snack and lunch in the adjacent garden area surrounded by nature. Creating art outdoors is always a beautiful experience!

Campers will need to bring snack, lunch, water, and a hat for sunny days!
Session 1: June 16 - June 20 ~ Beach Party
Join us for an unforgettable summer at our Beach-Themed Art Camp! Dive into a world of creativity where the sun, sand, and sea inspire your artistic journey. Each day, campers will explore various art forms, including painting, sculpture, and crafts, all centered around the vibrant colors and textures of the beach. From creating a fun mixed-media beach party collage that features liquid pour art, watercolor umbrellas, and model magic shells to crafting seashell-inspired 3D art, every project will spark your imagination and allow you to express your love for the coast. Don’t miss this chance to make new friends and create lasting memories while making incredible art in an outdoor studio!
Session 2: July 7th - July 11th ~ Jungle Adventure
Join us for an enchanting Jungle-themed Summer Art Camp where your imagination can run wild! Dive into the magical world of the nighttime jungle, illuminated by bioluminescent mushrooms, glowing flowers, and radiant insects dancing under the moonlight. In this camp, young artists will create stunning jungle moonlight landscapes on canvas using acrylic paints, bringing their visions to life with a bright neon glow under blacklight.
Campers will also craft 3D animals, incorporating their painted papers, printed textures, and exciting patterns. This creative jungle adventure promises to inspire and delight! Don't miss the chance to explore, create, and imagine in our magical jungle setting!
Session 3: July 14th - July 18th ~ Foodalicious
Join us for a delightful week at our Food-themed Art Camp, where creativity meets culinary inspiration! Dive into a world of colors, textures, and flavors as you explore multimedia art forms. You'll create extraordinary 3D masterpieces using recycled materials and air-dry clay, all while letting your imagination run free! Projects will include building your own whimsical food truck, crafting mouthwatering 3D creations that trick the eye (trompe l'oeil), and designing an enchanting fantasy landscape filled with sweets and treats.
Session 4: July 21 - July 25 ~ Fiesta!
Celebrate creativity at our Fiesta Summer Art Camp! In honor of the vibrant Fiesta days in Santa Barbara, this camp invites students to immerse themselves in Mexico's rich colors and artistic traditions. Campers will create beautiful 3D piñatas, explore the art of amate paintings, engrave stunning designs on tooling foil, and experiment with multimedia paintings, yarn paintings, and weaving. It's a week filled with fun, culture, and artistic discovery!
Session 5: August 4th - August 8th ~ Out at Sea
Set sail this summer at our Out at Sea Art Camp! Join us for an exciting adventure where aspiring artists will unleash their creativity by building their own pirate or mermaid ship multimedia artwork and embarking on a quest for buried treasure and mysterious deep-sea creatures! Campers will enjoy a variety of engaging projects, including crafting treasure maps, painting pirate and mermaid portraits, and creating unique sculpture masterpieces. Dive into a world of imagination and fun—perfect for your young adventurers!
Session 6: August 11 - August 15 ~ Abstract and Printmaking
Get ready for a fun week at our Printmaking and Abstract Art Camp! Dive into a vibrant world of creativity as you work on large canvases, exploring the magic of abstract art through bold color exploration, layering, texturing, and innovative mark-making. This is an abstract adventure like no other! You'll have the chance to experiment with process art techniques like Gelli prints and squeegee paintings; unleash your imagination by creating a stunning 3D assemblage sculpture using upcycled materials. It's all about cultivating your artistic intuition while having a blast!
